How often do you settle for average vs giving yourself the best? How often do we put things off until a later date?
You come up with excuses such as, “I need to wait until it’s a better time, until I lose a few more pounds, etc.” The list of excuses is endless.
Shanae inquired about updating her profile picture months in advance before selecting an actual date. Giving multiple reasons as to why she was delaying the session, she finally bit the bullet and booked.
The Let Me Take a Selfie
Prior to the shoot date, Shanae received all the prep guides to best help her prepare. She wanted a look that was more professional vs “The let me take a quick selfie” that she was already using as her profile photo.
Right before we began shooting, she revealed to me that this was her first professional session. That’s when all the dots started to connect. I understood, her reservations and hesitations now. Doing something for the first time can be intimidating.
As we progressed thru the shoot, she told me “Landen I used all the info in the guides, so I could look my best for this!”
The New Professional Profile Photo
Now all she needed was the finishing touches. What is that, you might ask? Simply to have fun and following a few coaching suggestions as to how the camera sees it’s subject. Following the tips to the tee, she went from the above “selfie” to her masterpiece!
After the session, she updated her profile picture on multiple platforms. She called me and told me, “Landen the responses I have been getting on my picture have been outstanding!!” She has been receiving multiple inbox compliments from past and present colleagues on her social media channels. Shanae literally says, “Her photo makes her feel ALIVE and confident about herself.”
Will you stick with that awkward selfie or do you want a professional profile photo that allows your viewer to see you as the uniquely, beautiful/handsome person you are?
